Be smart, use your potentialBeing smart is not the same as being intelligent. A smart person understands how the world works and adapts to it, thereby fully utilizing their potential. They are productive and contribute value not only at work but also to society as a whole. Failing to use our potential is one of the greatest sins.
Be crazy, live your lifeUtilizing our potentials, means being productive, adding value, not only to our jobs, but to the society as well. Being productive is not enough though. If you do it without a passion, enthusiasm, and joy, you’ll become just a another rational, disciplined, result oriented, boring chap. Therefore, enjoy life, be authentic, show your emotions, dare to be different, be silly, do crazy things, don’t worry about what others think, live your life to the fullest.
But above all else be humble and have a good heartThe world has seen lot of smart, productive people, who were charming and funny to be around, some of them being even genius. However, that didn’t stop them from being arrogant, mean and even causing suffering to others. What the world needs now is more humility, kindness, compassion, tolerance, so having a pure heart is of utmost importance. If we don’t have humility and good heart, we cannot have other virtues. As the king Solomon said, “Above all else guide your heart, for everything you do flows from it”.

Who am I?

English, Swiss and Macedonian lined up to show off their skills at archery. They were to shoot the apple off a young boy’s head. The English moved 100 m off, drew his arrow back, shot, hit the apple clean from the boy’s head, and said, “I am from England, I am Robin Hood!”. The Swiss moved 200 m off, drew his arrow back, shot, hit the apple of the boy’s head, and proudly said, “I am from Switzerland, I am William Tell!”. Faced with a great challenge, the Macedonian replaced confidently the apple with a strawberry on a boy’s head.  He moved 500 m off. Deeply concentrated he almost stopped breathing. The air was full of tension. There was absolute silence among the audience. He drew his arrow back, shot, and… hit the poor boy right in his eye, who then proceeds to drop dead.

It's a shame that I haven't read his book Two Candles and that we didn't have the chance to drink beer the last time he was in Frankfurt...
